To offer more convenience, this facility is also available on the NCDEX Markets mobile app, through the Book-My-Warehouse tab. Clients can book warehouse space even when they are on the move. The NCDEX Markets app will be available on Apple, Android and Windows systems.
The WSR facility is integrated within COMTRACK® - the electronic commodity accounting system developed and implemented by the Exchange. This reservation system is designed to bring relief to depositors who experience long waiting periods outside warehouses during peak season and find it difficult to locate empty warehouses. This automated system will enable the depositor to check availability and book space in the warehouse of his choice, at a click, from the convenience of his home or office. This facility will help in seamless deposits of over 1 million MT of commodities that are annually deposited on the exchange platform and will be available across the entire national network of 466 approved warehouses. For warehouse service providers, WSR will help better utilization of warehouse capacity.

In the initial phase, this facility is available for three commodities - Sugar, Turmeric and Barley across select warehouses, which will then be extended across all 26 commodities traded on the exchange across regions. With a booking window from 10 am to 12:30 pm, the system permits reserving space for upto 500 MT per warehouse in a single day, thereby giving an equal opportunity to all. Clients are also allowed to initiate a wait list request in case of non-availability of space in their choice of warehouse. Email alerts help clients keep track of their booking status.
