Monarch Private Capital (MPC), a national investor in projects which generate transferable state and federal tax credits in low income housing, historic preservation, renewable energy, and film/entertainment announced the hiring of Matt Bagwell as Director of Asset Management. In this role, Bagwell will be responsible for managing a portfolio of real estate investments that are under construction, in lease-up, or are stabilized.

Over the past decade, Bagwell’s work in the real estate industry allowed him to gain extensive knowledge working with LIHTC investments in the construction, lease-up and pre-conversion stages, as well as acquisitions and dispositions. He also managed relations with industry professionals and large portfolios of real estate.

Bagwell has held various positions specifically related to LIHTC. Prior to joining MPC, he served as Executive Vice President at Housing Systems, Incorporated, where his focus was on the acquisition, disposition, development and rehabilitation of LIHTC projects throughout the southeastern United States. Previously, he served as vice president and portfolio manager at Executive Asset Management. Bagwell’s responsibilities included oversight and team management in order to dispose of a national REO portfolio on behalf of private banks, investors and Fannie Mae.

“Matt’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge has already made him a key addition to the Monarch Private Capital team,” says Robin Delmer, MPC’s Co-CEO and Managing Director of Acquisitions. “We look forward to Matt helping to strengthen MPC’s asset management team, which will further benefit MPC’s investors.”

Bagwell earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgia State University
