Krewe Energy, LLC, (“Krewe Energy”) a privately held independent oil and gas exploration and production company based in Covington, Louisiana, announced today that it recently completed the acquisition of 100% of Castex Energy’s interest in the Lapeyrouse Field located in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Simultaneous to the Castex Energy transaction, Krewe Energy acquired additional non-operated working interests within the Lapeyrouse Field to further consolidate its ownership of the field.

The Lapeyrouse Field is a vintage South Louisiana property which has been actively producing since the early 1940’s with cumulative production to date of over 600 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent. The field is now being operated by Krewe Energy’s operating entity, S2 Energy Operating, and initial well-work is currently underway to optimize and increase production rates in the field. In conjunction with the Lapeyrouse Field acquisition, Krewe Energy also acquired Castex Energy’s interest in the Little Temple Field located in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

Krewe Energy continues to focus on the growth and further development of its existing asset base while also seeking additional acquisitions of mature assets within its core operating area of the South Louisiana oil and gas trend.
