Janney Montgomery Scott LLC (“Janney”), a leading full-service wealth management, capital markets, and asset management firm headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, welcomed seven and promoted two professionals to the firm’s Capital Markets group in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Three of the firm’s new hires in the fourth quarter, Mary Jane Darby, Rob Kanzer, and James Still, added a Higher Education and Not-for-Profit Advisory Group focus - broadening Janney’s reach from traditional underwriting to advising prominent and highly sophisticated higher education institutions across the country.

In 2018, Janney Capital Markets acquired HighBank Advisors, a leading middle-market investment bank and financial advisory firm headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland with a presence in Philadelphia. The transaction has strengthened the firm’s leadership in the M&A space and enhanced its comprehensive advisory services expertise, particularly in the business services, technology and industrial sectors.

Janney also strengthened its presence in New York City by relocating to a new Midtown office, consolidating two of the firm’s New York City offices and relocating more than 100 Capital Markets and Private Client Group professionals into one location.
