A Freightliner Cascadia Tractor generously donated to Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) by Freightliner Trucks, was sold for $70,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auction yesterday. All proceeds from the sale benefit Paralyzed Veterans of America. Paralyzed Veterans' National President Bill Lawson, along with local Arizona Chapter members, as well as representatives from Freightliner Trucks were present for the auction which took place in Scottsdale, Arizona.

"We're so grateful to Freightliner for this generous donation to our organization and for supporting our nation's veterans," said Bill Lawson, national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America. "These funds will help us continue providing free vital programs and services to veterans and their families."

The 2010 Freightliner Cascadia Tractor was custom painted to illustrate the support of both Freightliner and Paralyzed Veterans of America's dedication to the military and our nation's veterans.

"Freightliner Trucks is honored to be a part of a great cause like the Paralyzed Veterans of America," says Stacey Premo, motorsports marketing manager. "The 2010 Freightliner Cascadia PVA truck is a work of art that was created to honor military personnel everywhere. We are excited for it to find a new home."

About Paralyzed Veterans of America:

Paralyzed Veterans of America was founded by a group of seriously injured American heroes from the "Greatest Generation" of World War II. They created a nonprofit organization to meet the challenges that they faced back in the 1940s--from a medical community not ready to treat them to an inaccessible world. For more than 67 years, Paralyzed Veterans' national office and its 34 chapters across the nation have been making America a better place for all veterans and people with disabilities. (www.pva.org)
