First Farmers recently announced Andrew Smith joined the bank's team as Senior Product Development Officer. Smith will oversee strategy and development of new and emerging products for the bank, enhancements to existing products and services, and will manage the ongoing service and research for the bank's treasury management department.

'Andrew is a talented addition to our bank,' said T. Randy Stevens, Chairman and CEO of First Farmers. 'Our customers will benefit from his experience and innovative ability to identify services and products to create efficiencies in their cash management.'

Prior to joining First Farmers, Smith held treasury management positions at The Leaders Bank and BMO Harris Bank in Chicago, gaining the training and knowledge needed in successful product implementation. He is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), a designation by the Association for Financial Professionals, the leading organization for treasury and financial management professionals.

A graduate of Elmhurst College, Smith earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in Finance. Prior to moving to Middle Tennessee, he was a member of the Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce Young Business Leaders and received its Under 40 Leadership Award. Smith also volunteers his time to Junior Achievement teaching financial literacy skills to middle school students.
