Portugal's international trade statistics for November 2021, disclosed by the Statistics Office (INE) show that 2exports grew 15.7% on November 2020, and over 15% on November 2019", stated the Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira.

In a recorded statement, the Minister compared the period from January to November 2021 with the same period in 2021 and 2019, claiming that "exports grew 5,2%, beating yet another record of our goods penetrating international markets".

"These numbers are in line with industry turnover, which grew more than 16.6%", numbers that were disclosed today.

Pedro Siza Vieira claimed that these "are impressive results, compatible with the major growth in employment, where we have the greatest volume ever of employed population, as well as with the highly significant growth in corporate investment".

He further noted that "these figures show that in an international setting with some difficulties in supplying raw materials or critical components, Portuguese companies have been able to gain market shares".

These are "good data for the Portuguese economy's recovery", the Minister concluded.
