CANONSBURG, PA - Continuing with its commitment to providing safe, reliable and efficient natural gas delivery, Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, Inc. is excited to announce three significant pipeline improvement projects across Washington County for the first quarter of 2015. The projects are part of an $11 million investment to replace more than 15 miles of steel natural gas pipeline with plastic pipe in the County this year.

"We have been providing natural gas service to our customers for more than 100 years, and are now replacing the aging pipelines so we can continue to do so for the next century," said Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania President Mark Kempic . "Not only does this benefit our customers, but it keeps the whole community safe as well."

From 2007 - 2014, Columbia Gas invested nearly $900 million in the modernization and expansion of its distribution system in Pennsylvania. Of that amount, approximately $685 million was dedicated to replacing 620 miles of pipe. In 2015, Columbia Gas will invest approximately $186 million in Pennsylvania, with more than $144 million being invested to upgrade aging underground infrastructure
