Despite the coronavirus pandemic and global recession, domestic export (export without reexport) is up by 3.5% to reach a record-breaking 2,406.9 million USD.

Domestic export claims 72% of the country's overall export.

The growing domestic export is indicative of the Government's correct and consistent economic policy throughout the pandemic. Notwithstanding relevant restrictions, no strategically important enterprise has stopped operating, this way making it possible to minimize economic losses amid the fight against the pandemic.

To mitigate pandemic-related uncertainty, and to raise reasonable hopes among businesses, it has been key to ensure systematic cooperation with the private sector through daily meetings and thematic working group formats.

In 2020, China, Spain, Bulgaria, and Switzerland report significant overall export growth compared to 2019. In the same vein, domestic export growth is reported by China, Spain, Bulgaria, Switzerland, and Germany.

In 2020, compared to 2019, the export of copper ores and concentrates, gold, precious metal ores and concentrates, hazelnuts, and walnuts has increased significantly among the exported goods.
