We weren't expecting much volatility on FOREX this Monday, as it was a semi-holiday in several European countries, and there were no "macro" figures in the United States.

On the other hand, the coming days will be busier, with the publication of a whole series of statistics in Europe, the most eagerly awaited being the European PMI indices due on Friday, which will tell us more about the economic recovery on the Old Continent.

There will be little in the way of statistics in the United States, with traders focusing their attention on the minutes of the Federal Reserve's latest monetary policy meeting on Wednesday evening.

The Dollar Index ended up +0.1% at 104.55, but remained at equilibrium against the Euro at 1.0865, and only gained 0.05 to 0.1% against the Pound, the Canadian Dollar and the Swiss Franc... although it did make further progress against the Yen, which lost 0.33% at 156.25 (and against the Euro, at 169.65.
