Constellation West, a leading provider of mission-critical technology solutions for the U.S. government and one of the fastest-growing service-disabled veteran-owned, women-owned, small disadvantaged businesses in the country, announced today that its CEO and president Lisa Wolford won a Gold Stevie for Executive of the Year and a Silver Stevie for Entrepreneur of the Year in the 10th annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business held in New York on Nov. 8. Both awards are in the business services category for companies with 11-2,500 employees.

"I am grateful to be presented with such prestigious awards, especially knowing so many entries were judged by dozens of prominent business peers," said Wolford, who started her career as a field radio operator in the Marine Corps and founded her company in 1997 in Bellevue, Neb. "Women-owned businesses play an important role in supporting our nation and are a vital contributor to our economy. I have enjoyed watching that role expand during my career, and I feel honored to be acknowledged among all of these remarkable women."

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world's top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations - public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, large and small. The 2013 awards received entries from 18 nations and territories. More than 90 members of the five final judging committees determined the gold, silver and bronze award placements.

"For 10 years we have been recognizing the achievements of women in the workplace, and this year's nominations were the most impressive class the judges have ever reviewed," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the Stevie Awards. "We congratulate all of this year's Grand, Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners for their achievements."

In October, the now Washington, D.C.-based Constellation West took home a Gold Stevie for Executive of the Year, a Gold Stevie for Company of the Year, and a Bronze Stevie for IT Team of the Year in the 2013 International Business Awards. Also, the company was honored in September by being ranked on the 2013 Inc. 500|5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America for the third consecutive year.
