Aurora Diagnostics announced the promotion of Bruce Walton to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the company, effective January 1. Mr. Walton was Executive Vice President of Operations.
“Bruce has earned the COO title by successfully leading our labs through a challenging period of change following reimbursement cuts in the pathology lab industry,” said Daniel D. Crowley, CEO of Aurora Diagnostics. “As a result of the strength and stability these past two years, the Company was able to refinance its debt successfully and fund an acquisition program to take advantage of the current consolidation opportunity.”
Mr. Walton joined Aurora Diagnostics in 2009 and played an integral role in overseeing Aurora’s laboratories in Florida and the Northeast before being promoted to a leadership role in national operations. He has more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations management of pathology and diagnostic laboratory services, and has held several high-ranking positions during his career.
