He was Section Chief and Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism for the Veterans Administration Medical Center from 1989 to 1996.
Dr. Horowitz served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Assistant Attending Physician at the New York University School of Medicine for the Bellevue Hospital Medical Center from 1983 to 1989 and Attending Physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism for New Gouverneur Hospital from 1982 to 1984.
He received a BA from Reed College in 1974 and an MD from the New York University School of Medicine in June 1978.
