Walter Kohn

Dr. Kohn is the Professor of Physics, Emeritus, at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the developer of Density-Functional Theory.
He is also the Founding Director of the Naitonal Science Foundation's Institute for Theoretical Physics.
Dr. Kohn received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1998, and holds a PhD in physics from Harvard University.
