Mrs Haugland attended Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration from 1986 to 1990 and from 1994 to 1995, when she finished off a state authorised public accountant course.
From 1986 to 1996 Haugland worked as an auditor for Ernst & Young-Bergen AS, and has had several different economy functions after that.
In this period she had a range of positions, including Finance Manager, Chief Accountent and controller.
She has been CFO with Telenor Venture AS since 2004.
