Thomas A.
Prendergast, aged 71, has been the director since March 2004.
He presently serves as chairman of the board for The Steel Corporation of Texas, Texzona Industries, Inc. and Scot Holding, Inc. and as director for Double Eagle Petroleum, Inc. Throughout his career, he has served as a member of the board of directors for more than seventeen publicly traded companies across a broad range of industries.
He has worked with companies in special situations, including the initial public offering of Farah Manufacturing, where he was executive vice president for ten years.
He has been involved in a number of turnaround situations and various high-profile transactions, including the sale of Market Guide, Inc. to Multex, the global provider of institutional research products, which has since been integrated into Reuters Products & Services.
He was the founding member and President of the Board of Trustees of El Paso Community College from 1962 to 1982.
He is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University.
