Swarup Biswas OPERATING PARTNER Swarup is a visionary leader who has transformed several businesses in the Asia Pacific region across varied country and regional operations, ranging from few hundred million to over a billion-dollar portfolios in his 25-year career with Johnson Controls.
He started as an engineer and a Six Sigma Master Black belt and went on to hold multiple roles like Country Managing Director and Vice-President of Business Units.
A two-time winner of the highest employee honor at Johnson Controls in both commercial and operational excellence, Swarup has successfully developed playbooks and delivered on multiple strategic initiatives.
He has helped transform Asia Pacific Service business, leading an organization of approximately 4000 employees; developed growth playbooks for product & distribution, and turned around country P&Ls as a managing director.
In addition, he’s built the Johnson Controls product strategy for Asia– including localization and manufacturing in China, as well as the foundation of an engineering center in India.
Throughout his career, Swarup has held increasingly challenging roles and successfully turned around and transformed businesses.
Swarup brings broad hands-on experience to his deep domain & market knowledge in the Built Environment space, having led the services Digital transformation in Johnson Controls and developed the playbook and digital roadmap.
He is able to leverage experience and expertise in the industrial digital space, drawing on his knowledge of the Buildings Technology, IOT, Energy & Sustainability and Facility Operations & Management, both for commercial and industrial verticals.
