Dr. Stephen R.
Kellert is Senior Advisor at Environmental Capital Partners LLC.
He is the Tweedy Ordway Professor of Social Ecology at the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a leading authority on the Green built environment and environmental conservation.
He has been a driving force in bringing the theory and science of biophilic building design to practice as an advisor on the development of many prominent Green building projects including Bank of America's office tower at One Bryant Park, Goldman Sachs' Jersey City Campus, Sidwell Friends Middle School, an office campus park for a global leader in information technology, and others.
Dr. Kellert has been on the faculty at Yale since 1977, has served on committees of the National Academy of Sciences, and has been a member of the board of directors of numerous environmental organizations.
He has authored more than 150 publications, including his most recent books, Building for Life: Designing and Understanding the Human-Nature Connection (Island Press 2005), and Biophilic Design: Theory, Science, and Practice (John Wiley & Sons, 2007).
Dr. Kellert received a BS from Cornell University and a PhD from Yale University.
