Steinar Juel

Mr. Steinar Juel is Chief Economist at Nordea Bank Norge ASA. He leads Nordea Markets macroeconomic research team in Norway.
Mr. Juel follows the Norwegian economy closely - concentrating on macro issues, their impact on financial markets and how it relates to Nordea's customers.
He also blogs on Nordea's Norwegian newsroom where he comments on events and developments in both the Norwegian and international economy.
Mr. Juel has been with the bank since 1991 as chief economist most of the time, but for a period of five years he was responsible for business development in the retail part of the bank.
Prior to that, Mr. Juel came from a position in EFTA (European Free Trade Association) in Geneva.
He was head of the Economic Department in the Norwegian Bankers´ association, and worked as economist in Norges Bank and the Norwegian Ministry of Finance.
