Société Générale Asset Management (Japan) Co., Ltd. (SGAM-JP) is a wholly-owned indirect subsidiary of Amundi SA, the joint venture established in 2010 by the French banking groups Crédit Agricole SA (XP: ACA), holder of the majority interest, and Société Générale SA (XP: GLE). Established in 1971 and based in Tokyo, SGAM-JP provides pooled and segregated investment management services to retail and institutional investors. In 1998 SGAM expanded their presence in Japan through the acquisition of Yamaichi ToshiKomon. In 2004 they acquired Resona Asset Management. Within the global organization of SGAM, SGAM-JP operates as the Japanese and Asian equity expert.
