She began her financial career as a European research analyst at Swiss Bank Corporation and was subsequently appointed Head of Research at Schroder Securities.
Under her aegis, Schroder Securities became an emerging markets research pioneer, providing Southern European and then Latin American analysis.
Ms. Lavers then joined three fellow directors leaving Schroder Securities, to became a founding partner of LatInvest.
LatInvest quickly grew to become one of the top three ranked Latin American equity houses with offices in London, New York and Geneva, prior to its sale to BBVA.
Following a move to early stage venture capital with a strong IT focus and several board positions in Sydney, she joined NewSmith Capital Asset Management as a European portfolio manager in 2007, where she remained until 2012.
