In 2012, he started his own globally focused investment firm, later folded into Momentum Asset Management, where he headed their Momentum Contrarian business unit based in Cape Town and the arrangement with Momentum concluded at the end of 2015.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and CFA charter holder.
He graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1990.
