The firm was founded in 1992 by Frank Sands and is majority owned by Sands Capital Management LP. Sands Capital provides investment management services to both US and non-US clients who may have taxable or tax-exempt status. These institutional and high net worth clients, banking or thrift institutions, investment companies and pooled investment vehicles, pension and profit-sharing plans, charitable organizations, state and municipal government entities, sovereign wealth funds and foreign official institutions, corporations, non-US pension funds and superannuation funds.
