Mr. Wasilewski received an M.A.
in Economics from the University of Maryland in 1980.
At the University Maryland, he achieved admittance as a candidate for the PhD specializing in the fields of econometrics and monetary economics.
He began his investment career with United Mine Workers of America’s Health and Retirement Funds where he managed an $800 million cash portfolio as well as a mortgage-backed securities portfolio.
He spent two years at Union Labor Life Insurance Company as a senior portfolio manager and was recruited to join ASB Capital Management in Washington D.C.
where he became a managing director and head of the fixed income department.
He has spoken at national conferences on utilizing mortgage backed securities as a sector for producing exceptional performance in the fixed income markets.
Mr. Wasilewski has been an adjunct instructor at Howard Community College in Columbia Maryland for 6 years, teaching Principles of Micro and Macro Economics as well as an online course in Money and Banking.
