Prior to joining Atlantic Trust, formerly Stein Roe Investment Counsel, Mr. Devlin spent twenty years with Van Strum & Towne, Investment Counsel as portfolio manager, director of research, and, during his last three years with the firm, President.
A ten year association with Dean Witter & Co. as portfolio manager, research analyst, manager of the portfolio department and as manager of research and portfolio services in the marketing department provided him with a broad training and discipline in the field of investments.
For his initial exposure to the world of finance, Mr. Devlin completed the Special A Training Program at Wells Fargo Bank preparing him for branch management and commercial loan administration where he was employed for three years.
His education spanned a number of years interrupted by his service in the U.S.
Air Force.
He attended Sacramento City College followed by a double major in History and Architecture at the University of Arizona.
While attending the University of California Berkeley Extension, he completed his studies for the Certificate in Real Estate.
Mr. Devlin brings forward forty years of experience in portfolio management skills through the many environments that have occurred in the marketplace.
