Robert Pinnuck

Mr. Robert Pinnuck is Senior Portfolio Manager for State Street Global Advisors, Australia, Limited, joining the firm in December 2008 to manage Active Australian equity portfolios.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Pinnuck spent thirteen years with the Goldman Sachs JBWere Quantitative Research team.
During this period, he was responsible for extensive quantitative research, with particular focus on identifying market inefficiencies and combining anomalies into optimal risk adjusted alpha portfolios.
his deep knowledge of quantitative portfolio construction is based on his past analysis of hundreds of stock selection factor signals and experience building financial and valuation models across small capitalisation stocks, combined his collaborative work with qualitative analysts.
Through his input into the development of the GSJBW Portfolio Risk Analytics Model, he has gained an in depth understanding of fundamental and statistical risk models in theory and practice.
Additionally, his portfolio implementation skills were reinforced while working with, and developing trading strategies for, the GSJBW Proprietary Trading team.
He has published empirical research on a number of areas of portfolio management such as tax efficient portfolio construction and transaction cost modelling.
Mr. Pinnuck has received a bachelor of Economics and Finance from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
