Mr. Vanscoy began his career in 1955 at Mellon Bank and Trust.
At Mellon, he spent 18 years as a securities analyst and a portfolio manager, and he was the founder of Mellon’s Active Bond Management Division.
Mr. Vanscoy moved to San Francisco in 1973, joining Salomon Brothers, American Express Asset Management and BAIMCO (Bank of America Investment Management Company), where he managed institutional bond portfolios and mutual funds.
He joined Wells Fargo Investment Advisors (presently Barclays Global Investors) in 1979, where he was the principal in charge of trading and portfolio management for over $125 Billion in fixed income assets.
Mr. Vanscoy joined KCM in 1996.
Mr. Vanscoy received his BS degree from Davis & Elkins College.
