BSI Spain Asset Management SGIIC SA (BSI Spain AM) is the Spanish private banking arm of BSI SA in Switzerland, ultimately held by Italy-based Assicurazioni Generali SpA (MI: G). BSI, a Swiss private bank established in 1873 as Banca della Svizzera Italiana, became part of Assicurazioni Generali SpA (MI: G) in 1998. BSI Spain AM was established in 2005 and is based in Madrid. In 2008 the firm absorbed the fund management firm Gottardo Gestion SGIIC SA, which was a subsidiary of Banca del Gottardo, the banking unit of Swiss Life Holding AG (VX: SLHN). BSI Spain AM manages collective investment vehicles including SICAVs.
