Patrick Richard Smith

Mr. Patrick R.
Smith, CFA, is Associate Portfolio Manager at Guardian Capital Advisors LP.
He joined GCA in 2012 and specializes in Advisory partnerships, working directly with a portfolio manager involved in the development, implementation and management of investment portfolios and policies for individuals.
His career in the financial services industry began in 2002 when he joined ScotiaBank.
Prior to joining GCA, he spent over five years supporting high net worth clients at Scotia McLeod.
His experience has focused on the investment, corporate and retail banking industry, and includes exposure to various financial transactions such as financial planning, portfolio management, financial reviews, trading Canadian, U.S.
equities and bonds, managing administrative functions, and, analyzing and creating various financial reports.
Mr. Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (with a concentration in Finance) from Bishop’s University and completed the Professional Financial Planning course.
