Neil Massie

Neil Massie joined Ecofin in 2002 after more than six years with Legg Mason Investors in London, the U.K.
subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc., the U.S.
financial services and fund management group.
At Legg Mason, he combined the roles of sector analyst and fund manager specializing in the utilities and telecoms sectors and was directly involved in the management of two unit trusts and two investment trusts with combined assets of approximately £200 million.
He managed three of the trusts including Legg Mason Investors European Utilities Trust plc, an investment trust which invested in companies in the water, power, gas distribution and telecoms industries in the U.K.
and Continental Europe.
He was also the assistant manager of Legg Mason International Utilities Trust plc, an investment trust which invested in these industries globally, including in the United States.
Prior to coming to London, Neil Massie was a research assistant in the economics department of the University of Stirling, Stirling, Scotland, where he took a first class Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economic Policy.
He is an Associate Member of the U.K.
Society of Investment Professionals and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
He is 29 years of age and a U.K.
