Erste Asset Management SAI SA (Erste AM Romania) is the Romania-based asset management subsidiary of Erste Asset Management GmbH, ultimately owned by Erste Group Bank AG (VIE: EBS; OTCMKTS: EBKDY) in Austria. Formerly known as BCR Asset Management SAI SA, the firm was founded in 2002 as the asset management arm of Banca Comerciala Româna, which was acquired by Erste Bank in 2006. Headquartered in Bucharest, Erste AM Romania manages mutual funds and individual investment accounts for institutional clients and private individuals.
