Mike Thompson

Michael Thompson is based in London, joined Warburg Pincus in 2019, and focuses on capital solutions investments in financial services.
Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he was a Managing Director at Och-Ziff Capital in the Private Investments group investing across the capital structure in opportunistic credit and equity investments across private and public markets.
Previously, Michael worked in leveraged finance and mergers and acquisitions roles at Merrill Lynch in London.
He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester and a MA in Corporate Strategy and Governance from the Nottingham University Business School.
