Tributary and First Investment Group (formerly a department of First National Bank of Omaha) merged in May 2010. The event constituted a change in ownership only, as the investment strategies and personnel remained the same for each of the prior firms. Tributary provides investment management services to institutional and individual investors and to registered investment companies. The firm also participates in wrap fee programs and provides model-based offerings.

The First National Bank of Omaha (Investment Management) (FNBO-IM) is the investment management division of The First National Bank of Omaha, a regional bank headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The firm was founded in 1996 and is a subsidiary of First National of Nebraska, Inc. (NASDAQ: FINN), a multi-bank holding company. FNBO-IM manages institutional and individual portfolios, as well as the FNB family of mutual funds.

Principal Global Investors LLC, dba Principal Asset Management (Principal AM), is a SEC-registered investment advisor headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. The firm was founded in 1998 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Principal Global Investors Holding Co. (US) LLC and their ultimate parent is Principal Financial Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: PFG). Principal AM provides investment advisory services to institutional investors and individuals on a discretionary or non-discretionary basis.
