Mr. Michael Stavar, CPA, is SVP & Portfolio Manager at Strategic Capital Group LLC.
Mr. Stavar began his investment career in 1983 with BASF Corporation where he managed their $1 billion pension portfolio.
After 10 years, he was recruited by Mellon Bank to serve as their Chief Investment Officer where he oversaw their $40 billion securities lending program.
He later managed the $3 billion pension plan at Allegheny Technologies Incorporated.
In 2000, he joined Gulf Investment Management before it was acquired by OFI Institutional Asset Management, Inc. an OFI Private Investments affiliatee.
Most recently, he served on their Investment Committee responsible for managing OFI Private Investments Gulf Value and Balanced portfolios.
Mr. Stavar is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and holds a Bachelor of Science as well as a master's degree.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Financial Planner.
