Marvin D. Loflin

Marvin D Loflin was President and Chief Academic Officer of Career Step LLC from 1999-2004.
Dr. Loflin recently retired as Chief Academic Officer of Career Step, an online school focusing on Medical Transcription education.
Prior to that Loflin served as academic dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences on the Denver Campus of the University of Colorado.
He has also held academic administrative and faculty positions at the University of Alaska - Anchorage, the University of Nevada- Las Vegas, the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and the University of Missouri - Columbia.
Among other activities, while at Colorado he directed the development of an online academic program which today includes hundreds of online courses across a great diversity of disciplines.
His education includes BA, MA, Brigham Young University, 1960, 1962; Ph.D., Indiana University, 1965.
