Mahesh joined Intel Capital in 2008 to invest in opportunities in India, and had been able to deploy capital in a carefully selected and concentrated portfolio.
In spite of the challenging environment for portfolio liquidity, Mahesh has been able to drive liquidity events for Intel Capital in the form of exits such as Policybazaar, the leading online site in India for the comparison and purchase of insurance policies.
His other investments at Intel Capital include Snapdeal, the leading online market-place in India.
He has also worked with Intel Capital in Silicon Valley, and was focused on opportunities in the cloud infrastructure and Big Data sectors.
In that period, he led Intel Capital’s investment in Talena, a “big data” management company, and also participated in an investment in ElasticBox, a cloud application management company that was subsequently acquired by CenturyLink.
Earlier in his career, Mahesh had worked as a Software Engineer with CitiCorp Overseas Software Ltd., and has wide-ranging experience in the information technology services industry.
He has worked for companies in the financial services and enterprise software sectors in India, Japan, Singapore, and the United States.
Mahesh received his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has a Graduate degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, India.
