Mr. Chua has over nine years of investment banking and private equity experience.
He is currently the Investment Director at Vietcombank Fund Management ("VCBF").
He was previously the Assistant Vice President of Westcomb Capital Private Limited ("Westcomb"), a boutique investment bank in Singapore.
At Westcomb, he was involved in the origination and execution of capital market transactions in Singapore and was primarily responsible for the successful initial public offerings of several companies on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
Prior to joining Westcomb, he was the General Manager of a Shenzhen-based Fund Management Company setup jointly by Shenzhen Capital Group and Singapore's United Overseas Bank ("UOB") Group.
As the General Manager of SUVM, he spearheaded the PRC Joint Venture Investments business for UOB Venture Management Private Limited ("UOBVM"), the private equity arm of UOB.
Earlier, he spent some years with the Singapore National Science and Technology Board where he focused on the promotion and development of the venture capital and private equity industry in Singapore as part of the high-profile Technopreneurship 21 initiative launched by the Singapore Government.
He holds a Bachelors Degree (First Class Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom.
He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with the Manchester Business School, United Kingdom .
