PG is an active investor and manages portfolios invested in equity, fixed-income and money-market instruments. The firm has no sector or market cap restrictions and invests in all regions with the bulk of equity investments in French, European and US shares and the bulk of fixed-income investments in European securities. Their investment strategies include equity, bond and money-market funds as well as balanced-funds and an index-tracking fund. PG also uses alternative instruments, but mainly for hedging purposes. The firm's investment approach combines top-down macroeconomic research and bottom-up stockpicking. The macroeconomic research process is supported by quantitative analysis, while stockpicking is based on fundamental research, which focuses on qualitative and quantitative analysis also including SRI factors. PG conducts in-house research, utilizes third-party analyses and completes the research process by going to shareholder events and meeting with company management.
