Mr. Karim Vellani is Chief Risk Officer at Polar Capital LLP.
He has over 18 years of experience in wholesale financial markets across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income and currencies.
Prior to joining Polar Capital, Mr. Vellani was Head of Risk Management for the Global Proprietary Trading business at Credit Suisse which included all their hedge fund strategies.
Before Credit Suisse, he also held positions as the Chief Risk Officer at multi-strategy hedge fund, DE Capital Management, and as a Senior Director and Head of Risk Management at Bayerische Landesbank.
Mr. Vellani holds a Bachelor's degree in Computing as well as a Postgraduate qualification in Mathematical Trading and Finance from the City University Business School.
