Prior to joining Cushing Asset Management, Mr. Abel served as Global Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis Manager for ECOM Atlantic, Inc., a global soft commodities merchant.
Before that, he held several finance and strategy-related roles at media company Belo Corp.

Mr. Abel has worked in finance, risk and strategy roles since 2004.
He earned an MBA from Southern Methodist University, as well as an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Abel has earned Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional and the Certified Treasury Professional credentials.
