I founded Pipeline Capital in 2014.
I started the business because of all the fun I was having partnering with amazing people developing new technologies with the goal of changing the world.
Several people did just that: built amazing businesses with tremendous outcomes.
At Pipeline, we invest in seed-stage technology companies, and make 6 to 12 new investments per year.
The dollars come from a sovereign wealth fund, great family offices, outsourced CIO’s, individuals, a few CEO’s I invested in who have come full circle back to me, and my own capital.
I’m proud of all my successes, with the majority of realized returns (so far) coming from Hippo, Ethereum, Twitch, Cruise, Socialcam, Vungle, and Bitcoin.
I'm excited for what's still cooking at SpaceX, Webflow, Ranker, Inventables, Spiff, Sydecar, Origin, and Evernow, among many others.
From 2003 through 2007, I was a Technology Director at the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, advising Senators on technology policy.
I am proud some of the legislation, systems, and procedures I helped put in place are still around today.
Prior to the Senate, I was a co-founder at an IT consultancy, Iceware Technology, where I specialized in wireless application infrastructure.
Before Iceware, I worked at the Department of the Interior’s Office of Aircraft Services in Anchorage, AK.
I earned an AB in Business from The University of Puget Sound, an MBA from Tulane University, and hold a Certificate in Joint Maritime Operations from the United States Naval War College.
I work hard with our founders: I traveled over 80 segments in 2022, I’m an ex-collegiate ski racer and aspiring cook.
I have a 70TB Plex library at home but always seem to come back to original MacGyver and Star Trek, TNG.
