Mr. Joseph P.
Brennan, CFA, is a Managing Director & Global Chief Risk Officer at The Vanguard Group, Inc. He is responsible for the firm’s current enterprise risk management organization in addition to all facets of enterprise security and investment risk management.
Previously, he was global head of Vanguard Equity Index Group, where he oversaw investment teams based around the world responsible for assets in U.S., international, and global equity index funds, commingled trusts, and ETFs.
He joined Vanguard in 1991 and has held numerous investment leadership roles, including head of Vanguard Portfolio Review Department.
Mr. Brennan was previously employed as a Chief Investment Officer by Vanguard Investments Australia Ltd.
He earned a B.A.
in economics from Fairfield University and an M.S.
in finance from Drexel University.
Mr. Brennan is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
