James Stutson Head

Mr. Head began his career in the investment industry in 1971 with Parker/Hunter, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based regional brokerage firm.
During his tenure there, he served in the capacities of Internal Auditor, Controller, Branch Manager and Executive Vice-President / Branch Administration for many years.
He later moved to Dean Witter Discover & Company where he managed branch offices in Pittsburgh, State College, and Erie, PA from 1984 to 1995.
He returned to Parker/Hunter, Inc., in 1995 to manage the Monroeville office, and remained there until joining Muhlenkamp & Company, Inc. in 1999.
Through the years, he has developed an extensive background in administration, compliance, recruiting, training and strategic planning in the investment business.
He has also served as a member of the NASD District 11 Committee for several years.
Mr. Head received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Marquette University in 1967.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1971 as a Services Squadron Commander, before entering the investment business later that year.
