Conifer Securities LLC is a broker/dealer located in San Francisco. The firm is a subsidiary of The Conifer Group LLC, The firm was established in 1989 as Genesis Merchant Group, a private investment partnership that acted as a holding company for the development of an investment advisory business. In addition, Genesis Merchant Group created a broker/dealer to provide corporate finance, equity sales and trading, research and investment management services to a select group of corporate clients, institutional customers and high net-worth individuals. In 1999, a group of management partners and investors, led by Phil Stapleton, renamed the firm Conifer Securities and shifted the firm's focus to the custom outsourcing of comprehensive services and support for independent money managers. The firm provides a full array of trading and execution services for their clients. They do not provide any internal research.
