Profile

Prior to founding Powerhouse Capital, Ian was a founding member of Evolution Media Capital (“EMC”), a boutique merchant bank focused on sports, media, and entertainment founded in partnership with Creative Artists Agency (“CAA”).
In 2012, as a Principal, Ian spearheaded the launch of Evolution Media, EMC’s investment platform in partnership with TPG Growth, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing investments.
Ian served as a Board Director of The Athletic (subscription sports content platform), Gametime (ticketing marketplace for live events), and Stem (music fintech).
He also previously served in a Board Observer capacity at Scopely (mobile gaming), Layer3 TV (cable OTT platforms sold to T-Mobile), Epic! Kids (subscription children’s book and audio platform), and ATTN (digital media publisher).
Prior to joining Evolution Media Capital in 2008, Ian worked across multiple roles at PlumTV, a startup local media platform.
Previously, Ian had Portfolio Manager roles at two hedge funds focused on long-short equities across various public market sectors.
Ian graduated with a Bachelor Science from Wake Forest University’s Calloway School of Business.
