Hugh Croskery

He worked at Bank of Nova Scotia Canada for the period 1976 to 1986.
At BNS, Mr. Croskery worked his way up from teller to being the Assistant Manager of Operations at the branch level in Toronto, Canada, where he covered a total of eighteen (18) branches.
In 1986, he decided to return to Jamaica and returned as the Loan Manager of EMB Jamaica Ltd.
In a few years, he was promoted to General Manager and Principal of EMB.
His outstanding contribution to EMB is inclusive of growing EMB's JMD deposit base from JMD 90mm in 1986 to in excess of JMD 14B by 1996, a remarkable growth rate over the period of 15,455% or by an arithmetic average of 1,545.50% per annum.
In addition, he grew EMB's USD deposit base from being non-existent or nil in 1986 to in excess of USD 18mm by 1996.
Mr. Croskery attended Jamaica College High School where he successfully attained his high school diploma and various O'Level Certificates.
After which, he attended Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada where he received a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers Degree.
In continuing his educational goals, he achieved a certificate in Advanced Management with Merit Order from the University of the West Indies, Institute of Business in 1992.
