Prior to NatWest Markets, he was a Vice President, Morgan Stanley, and North American Head of Quantitative Research responsible for the structured product, equity derivative, and program trading businesses.
He began his career as a Staff Scientist, Superconducting Supercollider, Dallas.
And before that, a Research Fellow, CERN, Geneva.
Dr. Bird earned a PhD in Physics and an MS in Engineering from Stanford and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
