Quercus Management Group NV is an independent venture capital firm which was founded in 2004 by Yves Van Sante, and which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Q.A.T. Investments SA, based in Brussels. Q.A.T. stands for 'Quercus AIMER Trust'. Quercus is Latin for oak tree, which the firm equates with experience, reliability, honesty and strength. The acronym 'AIMER' (analysis, investment, management, enabling and return) describes their operation. In addition to the Luxemburg headquarters, The Q.A.T. Group has regional offices in Belgium and the Netherlands. They provide a mix of capital, manpower and managerial knowledge, investing exclusively in sectors where their partners have personal experience.
