Mr. David Kivell is a Managing Director of Perennial Real Estate at Perennial Investment Partners Ltd.
Mr. Kivell is responsible for the management of Perennial's global and domestic real estate investments management boutique.
Prior to joining Perennial Real Estate Investments in January 2012, Mr. Kivell was a Managing Director at CBRE Global Real Estate Securities in Sydney.
Prior to that, he was the Head of Global Real Estate Securities from January 2005 to December 2010 and the Head of Australian Real Estate Securities from November 1996 to December 2004 at Macquarie Funds Management.
During his fifteen year career at Macquarie, he successfully built out both the domestic and global real estate businesses.
Under his management, Macquarie's domestic real estate assets under management grew from less than $500 million to more than $3 billion, while the global real estate business he established in 2005 raised over $5 billion in just 4 years.
In a career spanning 30 years, Mr. Kivell has gained extensive experience across funds management, research, financial services and accounting.
Prior to joining Macquarie, he held senior positions with Lend Lease Property Investment Services and Schroders Australia.
Mr. Kivell has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Auckland.
