After attending Del Mar College in Corpus Christi and Texas A&I University in Kingsville, he joined Keetch-Tolson Insurance in south Texas.
In 1994 he left the agency business to begin a career on the carrier side of the industry.
He worked for Hochheim Prairie Insurance Companies for 19 years in a variety of management roles culminating in being appointed as President/CEO in 2010.
